As the Devastator Rising Project unfolds, details and updates on mission planning and progress will be shared here. Track the journey of TBD-1 BuNo 1515 from the preparations and staging in the Marshall Islands, to its archaeological recovery from the waters of Jaluit Lagoon, rigging and relocation to Texas A&M University for stabilization treatment at the prestigious Center for Maritime Archaeology and Conservation, and transportation for ultimate installation in a special exhibit at the new National Museum of the United States Navy (NMUSN) in Washington, DC for permanent preservation.
